This is one of the main sightseeing spots, which enshrines Uesugi Kenshin, a hero in Yonezawa during the warring states period.

[Uesugi Gobyo]
It has a tomb of Uesugi Kenshin who is the ancestor of the Uesugi family. The mausoleums of the feudal lords stand in the cedar trees. The atmosphere is full of the solemn.

[TOKO Sake Brewery Museum]
This museum was originally a sake brewery. It exhibits conditions of that time and preserves equipment for sake brewing. It also has a tasting room and sales area.

A beautiful winery visited by many visitors every year in Takahata, "Mahoroba-no-Sato". The very sweet wine, Mahoroba no Kifujin, is a product which has had steadfast popularity since the establishment of the Takahata Winery.
